Memory of Shayda.

When ordering taco bell, shayda would ask for mild sauce, but instead of saying mild with the "I" sound she would say it with an ill sound, so she would be asking for mill-d sauce. She was a cute kid.

Babysitting

These twins are the cutest. I have been babysitting them since March. Olivia and jasmine have an older sister, but the sister and their mom are out bowling.
They are snugglers. I love it!

Scrapbook Sun/Mon 2002

This is Thanksgiving 2002. We were at my Aunt-in-law (My Aunt Denice's sister Darcel, we call each other in-law, ha ha ha.) house, and my Uncle David was a budding photographer. He snapped our little sister pictures by the pool.
Oh how we love each other!

Scrapbook Sun/Mon 1988

I don't know if you can tell, but the base page is pink.
I did not like this year of my life. I did not like what I looked liked (which is evident in the class picture, where I had stuck a thumbtack in the picture, while it hung on my childhood bulletin board). But I especially did not like the teacher. She actually told me she didn't like me because I was poor. And I always thought she looked eternally pregnant. Not a good year. And I looked pretty goofy. 3rd grade sucked, but 4th was a great make up grade!

Scrapbook Sun/Mon 1986

This was the year right before we moved to the Gainsville/Denton area...Love the glasses! Thanks Mom and Baba! ha ha.

Scrapbook Sun/Mon 1984

This is me at the age of 4. And if you ask my grandma, this is her favorite picture of me ever... She loves it. And I must say, so do I.

Scrapbook Sun/Mon 1981

This was our first family picture. I swear I am the cutest little baby in the world. Someone try to prove me wrong, I dare you!

Youtube and Wikipedia know about it too

When I posted my blog last month about the new weight loss drug I found info on called Rimonabant I still knew very little about it.
I read up on the weight loss drug, and found that not only did it help curb your appetite it also helped people stop smoking.
Cool huh?
Well I think it is cool because typically when people stop smoking, they tend to gain weight. The weight gain is typically because people are so used to putting the cigarettes in their mouth, that they have an obsession, or need to continue putting things in their mouth. Food typically replaces the cigarettes, thus the weight gain…(also that is why part of the “quit smoking” program usually involves gum…again a mouth obsession…and gum gives your mouth something to do, constantly).
And guess what…
as I was going back and reading up on Rimonabant I found it in Wikipedia. I know, it is crazy….but I learned a whole lot more than I could sit and type, so go to the Rimonabant website, on the top bar, click the Rimonabant Report, and view the Wikipedia site, as well as the youtube information. It is crazy how easy it is to learn about this new medicine. And don’t forget to talk to your doctor before trying any new medicine!

You Should Really Check It Out...

When I did the blog post “I know It’s Not Heart Month But…” a few blogs ago…I thought I would read up and do some more research in it, the following are more definitions and a list of a few things that this new and interesting therapy can help with….you don’t have to thank me for doing the research for you, I understand you have a busy life…I am trying to get right to the point for you! You are welcome. Ha ha.

Chelation, (pronounced Key-lay-shun) is what happens when metals and minerals are removed from the body.
I wish you could collect all the minerals and make a pretty bracelet with it…but I guess what would be gross..ha ha.
Oral chelation is using the EDTA(Ethylene Diamine Tetra-acetic Acid) liquid, it soaks in the blood stream and helps clean out the arterys and blood stream, as the extra unused and unabsorbed minerals get cleaned out, the blood flow improves, bringing more oxygen into the blood, as well as helps the body’s circulation. Not only is chelation therapy good for circulation, but the following is a few proven illnesses or conditions it has been known to help or improve:
Age Spots
Alzheimer's Disease
Angina Pectoris
Arteriosclerosis
Atherosclerosis
Bursitis
Cardiac Arrhythmia
Cardiovascular Disease
Cataracts
Cholesterol Reduction
Coronary Artery Disease
Diabetes Mellitus
Diabetes Neuropathy
Diabetic Retinopathy
Elevated Blood Fats (Hyperlipidemia)
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) / Impotence
Fatigue
Fibromyalgia
Gangrene
Glaucoma
Hair loss
Heart Failure
Headaches
Heavy Metal Poisoning
High Blood Pressure
Hyperglycemia
Hypertension
Intermittent Claudication
Ischemia
Macular Degeneration
Multiple Sclerosis
Osteoarthritis
Parkinson's Disease
Peyronie's Disease
Psoriasis
Raynaud's Disease
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Scleroderma
Senile Dementia
Skin Ulcers
Strokes
Thrombophlebitis
Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
So, that is my new findings on the chelation therapies and what I have learned. Lesson done for the day…you really should go check into it.

Should I Etsy, or should I not.

Are you in the market for a long denim skirt?

Are you into homemade things?

Do you like to have fun funky things to wear?

If your answer to any of the questions above is yes...well...be prepared!

I have a new sewing machine. (my dad is awesome, he got it for me for my birthday). And after a few nights of help from Jason (very manly, I know), I learned how to use it myself...YAY!

THEN a lady at church came into town for the kids program, and was telling a bunch of mom's (and myself, since I am not a mom) how to turn a pair of blue jeans into a long skirt. She explained it....I asked a few questions.....then went home and practiced.

Below is my very first completed sewing project, and my very first clothing item to make.....but....get ready, I may open an etsy shop to sell them online. I know that a lot of people at church are wanting to buy some from me, and I have a few people who want me to teach them....I am still new to it, and if you look cloesly at the completed peice, you can see TONS of mistakes (I need to learn to hem things better....and sew through thick denim) but I will get this perfected, and I will be successful.

bad action

I love dares.... and Annie (a cool blog I stalk) is posting a dare....she had a list going about her day, and her first thought her number one...was she thinks that Keanu Reeves is the worst actor...and then she dared someone to come up with someone who is worse than him.....so I did...here is my list.

Staying with the top 10, I am going to do my own top 10.

10 ACTORS WORSE THAN REEVES
..not in any particular order

1)Jean-Claude Van Damme
2) Any acotr on the Sci-fi television station made for tv movies
3) Steven Seagal
4)Any B-list actor on Lifetime made for tv movies
5)Gilbert Godfrey
6)Andrew Dice Clay
7)Sylvester Stallone
8)Tom Arnold
9)Dennis Rodman
10)Bobcat Goldthwait
What about you? Who do you think should be off my list...or on it...give supporting details! lol

Having long hair can be hard to work with......especially when you have as much as. I do.
On the website shedoeshair.blogspot.com I saw this style on a little girl, but I figured I could pull it off too..... What do you think?

Dear (You know who you are but you don't read blogs)

I think this sums up all my frustration at this time.....don't pay attention if you think I need to be rosey happy excited all the time....this blog mirrors my first few blogs in it's frustration and spirit dampening mood.

Here goes....and no calling me out....this is my feelings....I don't want to confront the person, because it would do more harm than good....I am always told not to hold it in, so this is MY outlet....if you don't like it get over it.

(And this isn't about Jason....)

Dear You Know Who, please take careful notes, and considerations!
He never closes anything...
Not the door
Not food packages
Nothing.
He offers to wash dishes - but does it half way
Grease and grime is plainly evident on the dishes.
He will use electricity like he owns the electric company!
I am sure he is in cahoots with the people milking us dry.
He puts the AC on 60 in the middle of the night.
I wake up freezing, and clogged up.
He uses a whole roll of toilet paper at one visit to the restroom.
Making the already bad toilet problem we have worse.
He eats and eats and eats!
The stockpile we buy from costco that should last us 3 weeks, lasted us 1.
He eats and eats, uses and uses - yet he expects the $10 he gave us, back.
He used the truck for work....
drove it into the ground....
and expects us to pay for the majority, get it fixed, and return it to him to use and use again.
He doesn't willingly accept responsibility for any wrong choice he makes.
He will argue his point to the death especially when wrong
He will try to bend scripture to the point it sounds like a "guide to know why I am right" to get himself out of all trouble.
Guilt trips are his specialty...that's why he is living with us right now.
Everything good or bad in his life, and choices is chalked up to "God's Will"
I want to scream
"BE PROACTIVE...BE REACTIVE....PICK AN ACTIVE AND BE IT."
Helplessness is not an action it is a bargaining chip....I know this all too well....I don't gamble....so he has to bargain somewhere else...
I don't give handouts, I give help-ups.....but....right now, no one is listening....I have my own timeline....Be Ready!

That is my message....maybe me throwing it out in the universe instead of in my head at night as I try to sleep, will help me be gently firm and adequately successful for my pseudo family, for PROACTIVE people, and my piece of mind.

Be a follower of sorts...

Hey....act like you know me...and if you blog on blogspot....add follower to your layout, and then follow me...

I want to act like I am popular to the masses....and with you humoring me as someone you follow it will help my cyber dream of being one of the cool blogs come true...

Add me as a blog you follow, and you will make me smile!!!

I will never be as cool as my favorite blogs to stalk...
But I sure do try!

Random Thoughts Produce Results.

Do you ever wonder about plastic surgery? I had a friend who just had gastric bypass. And I was telling her that I was afraid of losing weight quickly because I know I wouldn’t have the money for the plastic surgery to get the extra skin taken off.
On the same note..I was wondering about the people on the tv show Dr90210. How does it feel after surgery? There are lots of bruises and swelling and stuff. And how does the Dr know if something looks good or is going to “heal nicely”. It is all weird to me.
Watching the tv show I noticed that the girls with boob jobs were wearing sports bra kind of things. It got me curious, is it something the doctors make them wear for comfort or recovery? I learned from my aimless Monday afternoon random searches that what looked like a sports bra is actually a compression garment, they are made to squish (that is my term, not an official medical term) the loose skin from surgery closer to the body, to aid the healing process. So an ace bandage suction cup….good deal.
THEN hold the phone…I found something I just might buy, not even having surgery… gel eye masks. They are made for eye surgery or botox…basically anything that might make poofy swelling eyes and face…but I get a poofy swelling face, from lack of sleep, crying too much, eating too much salt (ha ha) so I am thinking, I need to look into that for daily activity…
No worries, it gets better. Today, walking to the school to pick up the kids…my legs got achey….I came home and was rubbing my calf, and felt something, looking at it…(don’t be grossed out) I saw it was a vein…..yes a vein was poking out of my skin, so the second thing on my list from this company, is compression socks….yup, I need them, it says they help with circulation, tired legs….and all other medical jibberjabber….you will just have to check it out…I wonder if diabetics can wear them, my grandma needs circulation in her legs…

My Mom's New Puppies

This is Bryn (on top) She is the momma. Also known as my sister dog. She is a registered English Bull Dog. Slobbery and sweet.

Here are the two day old puppies. They are so sweet.

These were three that we held....I didn't get a picture of it, but the white one pooped in my hand...yuck!

If you go to www.bullyblessings.com you can see the daddy, he is under the link "studs" and his name is "Sub-Zero".

Funny story about the dad dog.

Aaron was asking about the daddy, and my mom told him that he was a mascot for a local high school. And sincerely and straight faced Aaron said "At least he has a job"

ha ha ha ha that was so funny!

Death to the bee on 8/25/08

On the first day of the kids school a bee landed on my shirt and I didn't know it until I accidently tried to brush him off with my inner arm. Ouch!

Everyone say hello to my first bee sting!

I am in denial.....

........ Behind the reason of my messed up sleeping habits.
Right now I blame the following things on my late night awakeness.......
1. Babysitting till 4 am (but I am not sitting this week)
2. Summer Olympics (makes me want to play volleyball at 4am)
3. My wondering thoughts on my to do list
4. My wondering thoughts on my faults and how to fix them.

And because of # 3 and 4 I have now started to carry pen and paper to bed and tonight..... I created this list. And am still wide awake *sigh*

** DUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES THIS POST WAS NOT POSTED WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.....this should have been posted the week the Olympics ended....**

I am not lost....

Anyone else having issues with posting blogs via their cell phones? I have tried to post a few...with no success....blah.

I will update more tonight...I have to collect all the unposted cell posts...so I can keep you updated on whats been goin on...

And...

Has anyone noticed I keep forgetting Scrapbook Sundays? I will get one out today.
